General Information

All swimmers must represent their respective clubs or schools affiliated to PRAS or invited by PRAS in cases where there is no affiliation.The Invited Clubs will be categorised under ‘Exhibition’ and will not be eligible for any awards.

This is one of a qualifying Meet for Malaysia Invitational Age Group (MIAG) and Malaysia Open (MO) 2024.

Only bona fide swimmers who are duly REGISTERED under the registration exercise through their clubs, schools or as individual will be allowed to participate in this championship. Please ensure your swimmers are registered or they will be disqualified during the meet and/or selection to the State Team.

This Championship is only open to swimmers who are existing members of Selangor Aquatics Affiliates

Competition Information

Age groups are computed as follows for male and female swimmers respectively:

Open swimmers will compete in Group 1 but be scored separately.

Swimmers in Group 4 (10 to 11years) must meet the Qualifying Time in order to compete in the Championship.Swimmers failing to achieve a time equivalent or faster than the qualifying time during the Championship will have to pay a fine of RM100 per event.To participate in the 200m Freestyle, swimmers must meet the qualifying time of the 100m freestyle.To participate in the 200m IM,swimmers must meet the qualifying time of all 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breastroke and 50m Freestyle.

4 Swimmers in Group 5 (9 years and under) must meet the Qualifying Time of Group 4 in order to compete in the Championship.Swimmers failing to achieve a time equivalent or faster than the qualifying time during the Championship will have to pay a fine of RM100 per event.To participate, swimmers are mandatory to swim 50m Breastroke, 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle.Swimmers in Group 5 will compete in Group 4 but be scored separately.

Date of reckoning is 31st December. Age is calculated as of 31st December in the year of competition. Swimmer can only compete in his/her own age group.

All clubs must declare and indicate all STATE swimmers (from year 2021 to 2023) who are competing in the Championship. Failure to do so, a penalty of RM200.00 will be imposed on each swimmer and the said swimmer will be reclassified under STATE category

Competition Rules

The Championship shall be conducted under the Rules and By-Laws of World Aquatics as prescribed in the Competition Regulations (Approved by the World Aquatics Bureau on 21st February 2023).In matters not provided for, decisions shall rest with the Referee and/or Organizing Committee.
